Inside with Kravitz and Lerner: Johnathan Huberdau’s dangle on Chris Tanev

On January 10, Johnathan Huberdeau completely destroyed Vancouver Canucks defenceman, Christopher Tanev, by completing a toe-drag (a drag of the stick moving the puck from the heel to toe) breaking Tanev’s ankles.

Huberdeau has a history of amazing moves on the ice, but what made this move noteworthy was the broken ankles.

Huberdeau also made an amazing pass to teammate Mike Hoffman who blasted it home for his 16th goal of the year. With that goal, Huberdeau became one point shy of tying Panthers’ franchise point leader Olli Jokinen with 419. Huberdeau currently has 418.

Huberdeau is a Florida Panthers All-Star forward who currently has 17 goals and 42 assists coming to a total of 59 points this season. This ranks him 7th in the NHL in points.

The Panthers won the game 5-2.
