The city of Parkland has expanded the library that is next to City Hall so that more people can come study and read books.
The process of expanding the library was completed on Feb. 7, 2020, adding a new section and restoring the original space, having the full facility opening.
The ribbon-cutting and grand opening service presented by the City Commission was held Saturday, March 7, 2020 at 3 p.m. This event was open to everyone and the public was encouraged to attend to celebrate this exciting facility expansion.
The original facility was approximately 13,200 square feet and the addition of the new Children’s Wing has added approximately 7,000 square feet to create a space for children, families and a multi-purpose program area.
This new addition to this library will sure make the people from the community happier and provide them with an extra space to do homework, hang out, read and study.
